In April 2024, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) made significant updates to its enforcement guidance on workplace harassment—the first revision in over 30 years. These changes are designed to adapt long-standing standards to the realities of the modern workplace, including increased protections for LGBTQ+ employees and addressing the surge in sexual and racial harassment cases.

This webinar is designed to provide independent restaurant owners with the knowledge and tools to comply with the new EEOC guidelines. We will cover essential information on effectively preventing and responding to harassment claims, ensuring your policies, practices, and training align with these updated standards.

During this session, we will explore:

  • Review of the EEOC’s Updated Guidance: We’ll examine key cases that highlight evolving legal interpretations and break down the major changes in the EEOC’s updated harassment guidance.
  • Practical Strategies for Policy Updates and Training: Learn best practices for revising your no-harassment policies, implementing more comprehensive training, and creating a work environment that actively prevents harassment.
  • Complaint Handling and Resolution: Discover how to properly investigate harassment complaints and navigate the complexities of resolving them, ensuring legal compliance and workplace integrity.
