2021 Independent Restaurant Technology Survey
RestaurantOwner.com surveyed independent restaurant operators and asked what technology or software applications they are using as well as what they plan on upgrading.
Over 350 responses were collected in the first quarter of 2021. We carefully screened the responses to provide the most reliable and valid results and summaries.
Full-service dining operations represented 69% of the responses while 31% of respondents operate quick service, fast-casual, or other types of concepts. 56% of these operators only had one location, 19% had 2 locations, and 23% had 3 or more locations. 2% of the respondents were in the process of opening their restaurant.
These analyzed responses are intended to provide an overview of restaurant technology solutions that best support the independent restaurant owner as well as represent the areas of technology these operators are looking to upgrade in 2021.
