Bill Marvin, The Restaurant DoctorTM is an advisor to service-oriented organizations around the world.  He works with companies who want to get more done with less effort and with managers who want to get their lives back!  Bill is the founder of Effortless, Inc., a management research/ education company, Prototype Restaurants, a hospitality consulting group and the Hospitality Masters Press, publisher of the acclaimed Hospitality Masters Series of industry books.

Bill started his working life at the age of 14, washing dishes (by hand!) in a small restaurant on Cape Cod and went on to earn a degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.  Bill moved to Colorado to develop and operate the foodservice system for the US Olympic Training Centers.  He and his wife, Margene, now  live in Gig Harbor, Washington.

A veteran of the foodservice industry, Bill has managed hotels, institutions and clubs and owned full service restaurants.  He has had the keys in his hand, his name on the loans and the payrolls to meet.  His professional curiosity and practical experience enables him to understand the human factors common to the growth and success of every type of service-oriented business.

He is a member of the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers and the National Speakers Association.  He has achieved all major professional certifications in the foodservice industry.  Bill is a prolific author and a sought-after advisor in the areas of concept development and organizational effectiveness.
