Download: Restaurant Receiving Checklist

There's no quicker way for restaurants to lose lots of money than when the delivery truck pulls up IF you don't have your act together (and drivers know exactly which restaurants don't).

Use the Receiving Checklist as a guide for deciding what your restaurant should be doing to prevent losses and problems when product is received at your back door.

It will help you and your people to quickly become aware of basic receiving procedures and policies and your restaurant's shortcomings.

Use it as a tool to help you determine what should be done, how it should be done and who should be doing it.

Once you've decided your own specific receiving procedures, modify the checklist to reflect them. Then use the checklist to periodically review whether the appropriate tasks are being performed correctly, consistent with the receiving procedures you've established.

This template is available in RTF (rich text format) file format. RTF file format works in most word processing programs including MS Word.

Summary of features & benefits:

  • The Receiving Checklist is ready for you to use as a guide for establishing your own receiving procedures, standards and systems.

  • This checklist can easily be modified to reflect your specific receiving standards and systems once they are determined.

  • This file includes 2 letter-sized pages.
